Overview

Week of September 14 – 20, 2026:

The week begins with a stronger emphasis on ideas, communication, and mental activity, before attention gradually turns toward more emotional and personal matters. Venus square Pluto is one of the week’s central influences, while the second of seven Neptune-Pluto sextiles and Chiron’s return to Aries connect the week with longer-term developments.

Mercury trine Uranus on September 14 can support original thinking, new ideas, and conversations that take an unexpected direction.
With Mercury in Libra and Uranus retrograde in Gemini, different perspectives may help open new ways of approaching familiar questions.

The Sun sextile Mars adds initiative and confidence, making it easier to put plans into motion or deal with tasks that require some extra effort.
With the Sun in Virgo and Mars in Cancer, practical considerations can work alongside instinct and emotional motivation.

Venus square Pluto on September 15 is one of the week’s more significant aspects.
Venus is now in Scorpio and already moving through the pre-retrograde shadow of its upcoming retrograde cycle. Its square to Pluto in Aquarius can bring underlying issues in relationships and personal values closer to the surface. Questions involving trust, attachment, control, or complicated emotional dynamics may become harder to overlook. Since Venus will return to Libra during its retrograde period, some of the themes emerging now may develop further over the coming weeks.

Venus also forms a quincunx with Neptune on September 15.
Expectations and reality may not fit together easily, particularly in relationships or in situations involving personal preferences and desires. Adjustments may be needed when something appears different from what was expected, while assumptions can make situations more difficult to understand.

Neptune sextile Pluto on September 16 is the second of seven exact sextiles between the two planets through 2029. As a slow-moving aspect between two outer planets, its significance extends well beyond this week. Both planets are retrograde, with Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius, linking two long-term planetary cycles associated with wider social and generational developments. The sextile can accompany gradual changes in collective ideals, beliefs, technology, social structures, and ideas about the future.

On September 18, Chiron retrogrades from Taurus back into Aries, temporarily returning to the sign it moved through for several years.
Chiron will remain in Aries until April 14, 2027, before entering Taurus again. Its return to Aries can bring renewed attention to themes connected with independence, identity, courage, and the way personal vulnerabilities affect the ability to assert oneself. This period may revisit matters that developed during Chiron’s previous passage through Aries, bringing some of those themes back into focus over the months ahead.

The Moon travels through Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn this week, gradually gaining light as the week progresses. The first part of the week emphasizes interaction and relationships as the Moon moves from Libra into Scorpio.
Its passage through Sagittarius later in the week can broaden attention toward learning, ideas, travel, or future possibilities, before the Moon enters Capricorn and brings a more practical tone to the end of the week.

Overall, the week moves between immediate concerns and developments that unfold over a much longer period.
Some matters may require attention in the present, while others are only beginning another stage in a process that will continue through the months and years ahead.
