Overview

Week of April 13 – 19, 2026:

In recent months, Saturn and Neptune have left Pisces, followed by Mars last week, and now Mercury this week. This marks a gradual shift away from the Pisces emphasis that has been present for some time.

This week brings a noticeable change in mental energy as Mercury finally leaves Pisces after an extended stay since February 6, partly due to its retrograde phase there, and enters Aries, where it will remain until May 3. Thought processes shift from intuitive and diffuse toward direct, fast, and action-oriented. Ideas may come quickly now, along with a stronger urge to speak, decide, and take initiative.

Around April 16, an almost stellium forms in early Aries, as Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, and the Moon gather in the first degrees of the sign, intensifying Aries themes.

Mercury forms several aspects this week. A sextile to Uranus supports fresh thinking, insight, and unexpected solutions. This is a helpful influence for breaking out of old patterns and seeing things from a new angle.

At the same time, Mercury conjunct Neptune can blur clarity. Imagination and intuition are heightened, but so is confusion, misunderstanding, or idealization. It is important to balance inspiration with grounding.

A sextile between Mercury and Pluto adds depth and focus beneath the surface. Conversations can become more meaningful, with a desire to understand what is hidden or unspoken. This combination supports research, insight, and honest communication. With Mercury in Aries, communication can also become more direct and straightforward.

Mars conjunct Neptune is one of the more complex influences of the week. Motivation may feel unclear or inconsistent. Actions can be driven by ideals, dreams, or emotions rather than logic. At its best, this can bring creative or spiritual drive. At its lower expression, it may lead to lack of direction, fatigue, or unclear intentions. Allowing space for inspiration, rather than pushing, may be a more effective approach.

The Sun conjunct Chiron highlights themes of healing and self-awareness. This is a moment where personal vulnerabilities may come into focus, not to weaken, but to bring understanding and growth. There is an opportunity to address something personal with greater honesty.

Venus sextile Jupiter brings a supportive and pleasant tone. With Venus in her home sign, Taurus, and Jupiter exalted in Cancer, this aspect carries a natural sense of ease and flow. It is often associated with warmth in relationships, generosity, and a more open-hearted approach, enhancing social connections and bringing a sense of lightness. This may also soften the tone somewhat, balancing the more direct and intense influence of Mercury and Mars in Aries.

Mars sextile Pluto adds strength and determination. Unlike the more diffuse Mars-Neptune influence, this aspect provides focus and the ability to act with purpose. It supports strategic moves, resilience, and constructive use of power.

We are also in the final degrees of Aries, with both the Sun and the upcoming New Moon emphasizing themes of initiation, courage, and forward movement. Uranus in the last degree of Taurus adds a background of change and instability in material or practical matters, suggesting that shifts are building beneath the surface.

The New Moon in Aries at 27° on April 17 marks a point of new beginnings. Aries energy is about taking the first step, even without full certainty. This New Moon encourages initiative, independence, and setting intentions that require courage.

Throughout the week, the Moon moves through Pisces, Aries, Taurus, and Gemini, shifting the emotional tone from sensitivity and reflection, into action, then toward stability, and finally into curiosity and communication.

Overall, this week blends inspiration with action, and intuition with the need for clarity. It is a time to move forward, with awareness of what is real and what may be imagined.
